It's Over
The election is over. Our next President of the United States of America is Barack Obama. This is a day that will go down in history. A day some people thought would never happen, a day that the United States would elect a black man to the office of the President. I am proud to be an American today. I am a cynical man when it comes to people, but I am happy and proud to see that as a society, the people of this country are progressing. Another step in the right direction has been taken. | | Wednesday, October 8th, 2008 | | 8:26 pm |

:Sigh: I hate X-Box live
I really hate some of the other players on x-box live sometimes. I just got off from a game on halo 3, and this one called ninja something I can't remember. anyway he thought I messed up his last game for some reason and he kept screaming at me over the game. The things that came out this assholes mouth. At first I ignored him but than he started saying same of the raciest and homophobic things possible. Than he started to say he was going to track me down and kill me. Dude......its freakin video game. it was so disgusting every other player in the room was offended. So I reported him and hopefully some of the other players did as well. Here's the worst thing he said that really ticked me off and decided to report him, "You and your whole family should have been wiped out in the holocaust, you goddamn jew". I swear this is a direct quote. I really hate the other players on X-box live. Current Mood: annoyed | | Friday, July 18th, 2008 | | 3:33 am |

A season review of The Spectacular Spider-Man
Okay, its been a while since I last reviewed an arc in the SSM series. So heres, a quick review of season 1 for the Spectacular Spider-man. First off, right off the bat, this is probably the one of the best animated series to come out in a long time and I'm glad its for everyones favorite web-head. The voice cast has been stellar, I can't think of an episode that was bad at all, some weren't as good as others but not flat out bad. Speaking of voices, I have to say the voice that has struck me the most was The Shockers. Making Montana the Shocker was a bold move for weisman and his crew to make but it paid off. I've already have that voice pop in my head whenever I read shocker in the comics now....though I wish he wasn't as such a loser in the comics. On another note, I have to talk about the Green Goblin. While I thought the Green Goblin was handled really well, I have to say the voice wasn't quite what I had imagined. I think Steve Blum does a great job as the Goblin, but its not the voice that pops in my head when I think about the character, but still he a lot better than what we had in the 90's show. Now lets get to the villain that I hate the most in this show, Venom. Okay I'll admit that I liked the character when I was much younger but thankfully I wised up when the Norman Osborn returned in the comics. Now when I look at the character I see nothing that makes him appealing other than his design. As for his appearance in the series, I liked that GW took some of the ideas from the Ultimate comics and made them childhood friends to give them a connection. Throughout the season he was giving legitmate things to mad at Peter for which you can't blame him for. Than came his date with Mary Jane, I still don't understand why he suddenly acted like that. So later on Eddie Brock becomes Venom and tries to go after Spider-Man and those closest to him. the battle was fun to watch but I think the line that stood out to me the most was the "we were always alone line". That should have been played out more. They both lost there parents in the same plane accident but Peter had his aunt and uncle while Eddie had no one. I can just imagine him being moved from foster home to foster home until he went to college. Now since I am willing to bet we are going to Venom again in season 2 I hope to see Weisman and his crew further explore this about Venom. Being alone, reminds me of a character from another one of Gregs show. Since the Spectacular Spider-Man is a new series I am going to give it a grade of solid A. now that may change when season 2 finally comes around but for now thats what its getting. Since the end of the epic failure of the Spider-man storyline "One More Day" I haven't been getting my fix on the guy. now while I like the Ultimate Spider-man comics it just hasn't been doing for me lately. The Spectacular Spider-Man however does and like a junkie I eagerly await for my next fix. | | Thursday, June 12th, 2008 | | 8:29 pm |
Today was a good day.
I woke up early this morning in order to do two things. Number one was pick up my copy of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and number 2 was pick up my friend Chris so we can go to NYC for a big event. Hideo Kojima. creator/writer/producer of the MGS series was going to be signing autographs in 546 Broadway. This is most likely the only chance I am going to have to meet this man and I am not going to waste it. So I picked up my friend and we drove to the city, got there by 12:30 and arrived at the store by 1:00 clock. I was number 109 in the line and there were only going to allow three hundred for this event. But me and my friend had wait in this place for over five hours, but it was worth the wait. I got him to sign the instruction manual of my original copy of Metal Gear Solid. worth the wait. Now that I am home I'm gonna enjoy the glory of the new one and get something to eat. | | Friday, May 2nd, 2008 | | 12:06 am |
I AM IRON MAN!!!
Just got back from an early screening of the new marvel movie "Iron Man". It turned out to be much better than I thought it was going to be. This flick is without a doubt the best Marvel movie and earned a place right next to Batman Begins as one of the best Super Hero movies. I don't want to give anything away, but stick around for after the credits for a nice treat. | | Tuesday, April 29th, 2008 | | 12:44 am |

I have a new nemesis
Thats right you read the title right. I have a new nemesis and it isn't a person. It another species entirely. That species is BIRDS!!!! I fucking hate them now! Now that spring is now fully kicked in, all the animals and bugs that I didn't miss are back. But this time around, birds have made it a point to piss me off! Last week the morning after I got my car washed and cleaned, I discovered the hood to be completely covered in bird shit. I'm sure you all can relate. But that only annoyed me, so I got out the towels and water and cleaned it myself. Than I went to work. So the very next day I woke to find it completely covered in bird shit again!? I checked the trees so I know there isn't a nest. But today, my car just came out of the car wash, I pulled out of the place and drove down the street. The first stop sign I hit, I get nailed with more crap from these fucking birds! Five minutes after I left the damn car wash! So now that I have a new nemesis, how do I go about exterminating them? | | Monday, April 14th, 2008 | | 12:48 am |
The Spectacular Spider-man again!
Okay it's been about a month since my last take of these characters on this show are being done. So without further adieu lets get to it Montana/The Shocker: okay I gotta say that I wasn't expecting Montana to be Shocker in this series. But I (unlike other people on the net) have no problem with it. It works, I'm fine it. I actually like that he's Shocker. Now unlike a bunch of other, they wanted Herman Schultz to be Shocker. While it would have been nice honestly whats the big deal? Weisman and his crew can easily say that Schultz was the guy who created the suit. J. Jonah Jameson: I love this show JJ. plain and simple, NEXT! Flint Marko/Sandman: Sandman's episode was fun. He's got powers, but still not that smart. Best part if the episode was when he forgot the money he stole. Since he just got his powers he doesn't realize just how powerful he really is. I'm really looking forward to the next fight when Marko has more of a handle on his powers. Alex O'Hirn/The Rhino: Ah Rhino, big, strong and really dumb. just like in the comics. I think Clancy Brown is doing a great job doing him so far. The fight between him and Spidey was awesome. Rhino should be one of those villains that Spidey can't beat with brute force (like he usually does in the comics). Beating him with steam and overexerting himself was new twist. I can't remember if Spidey ever beat him that way or not. Also the part with him crying for his momma was priceless. L. Lincoln/Tombstone/The Big Man: Okay I wasn't expecting Tombstone to the big man. I knew it wasn't going to be Kingpin because Fox studios has the rights to his character. So I've been wondering who it was going to be. But when the soon to be Green Goblin mention his last name, I knew instantly it was Tombstone. I was really surprised because I never even considered it to be him. I thought the scene where Spider-man confronted him was spectacular (yes the pun was intended!). Not only did Tombstone kick his ass, but he got him in trouble with the cops. Thus starting Spider-Man's problems with the police. I hope so anyway Last but certainly not least, Mary Jane Watson.........I think the phrase "jaw dropping" pretty much sums it up. Considering well her most famous line being accompanied by a very sexy voice is jaw dropping. Looking forward to seeing more of this red head. Past couple of weeks have been good for me. Got to go to California and spend a week with my brother. Went to Universal studios. But best of all. I got the tour of Greg Weisman studio of where Spider-Man is being made. Man I would love to work there. Me and Greg had lunch with him and Jennifer Anderson. Normally I would have blasted him with a million questions about the show. But he was dead tired so I didn't ask. It cool getting to see some of designs for characters on the walls. oh well I guess I'll make another post when the next arc is done. | | Monday, April 7th, 2008 | | 8:50 pm |

The Spectacular Spider-Man
Well the new show premiered last Saturday morning. Well technically I missed it because I had to work all day that Saturday. But my brother was able to send me the first episode while I was able to download the second one while I watched the first one. Well heres my take on this new series so far, I'll pass final judgment on it when the first season is done but it's off to a very good start. Spider-Man/Peter Parker: Greg Weisman + Crew picked a good actor to play Spidey. Spidey is what you expect him to be when he starts out crime fighting, arrogant and a smart ass. Just like how he started in the Lee/Ditko era but its obvious he has a lot to learn since he is gonna start fighting super-villains. Glad to see his quips are actually funny.....well some of them. And since Pete is a teenager its also gonna be fun wathcing him be an idiot in front of the lady's (example watch the first ep and see.) Aunt May: May is what I expected her to be. I'm glad they aren't making the old lady look she would snap in half if the wind blew in a certain direction. So far May is what I've expected her to be. But its too soon to make a final opinion on her, although I would like to see her tear into Peter for being late coming home. Hell maybe we will soon. Gwen Stacy: Ah Gwen. I have to honest, I was never really a fan of Gwen from the comics. I thought she was boring and never understood what Peter saw in her. But thats another story. I gotta give the shows crew alot of Praise here. Not only does a Spidey show have a Gwen Stacy in it, but they make her completely what I imagined her in high school. Now if I remember correctly (I'm sure my bro Greg will correct me) Gwen was a Science/Chemistry Major in college. This has got to be what she look liked back in High School. Right now she isn't exactly "cute" or "pretty". I am willing to bet by the end of season one she is going to let her hair loose, put on some make up and get a cute dress. After that, shell be a knock out (watch out MJ). Harry Osborn: Good ol Harry. Peter's best friend. I'm not too crazy on his voice but that may change in the future as the character gets older. And just like in the comics he is a weakling in front of his father. Speaking of daddy. Norman Osborn: This exactly what I said after I watched Norman's first scene "SWEET ZOMBIE JESUS YES! YES! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". Norman is the asshole that he always was in the comics and the actor the crew chose was good one. I still think Willem Defoe is the best Goblin but thats a different story. Norman here has no fear. Even when the Vulture was carrying around the city he wasn't afraid. And the way he put down his son in front of Parker when he heard about his internship "Don't suppose you were considered for the honor harry". Norman obviously likes Peter better than his eventual pill popping junkie of a son Harry. I can't wait to see him as the Green Goblin. Eddie Brock: ............I want to like this version of Eddie Brock I really do. But I can't. No matter what form he's in, he's Venom. The the worst example of a Spider-man villain and one of the reasons why Spider-man comics sucked for most of the 90's. Nothing against Weisman and his crew, but I can't stand Eddie Brock/Venom. I can already hear his moronic fanboys getting ready to crucify me saying this. Well that pretty much the main cast for the first season of the show. I guess when season one is over I'll go more in depth about the show. But for now I gotta go and eat dinner. | | Wednesday, March 5th, 2008 | | 3:26 am |
